HTC ONE X

The Big Review

The ultimate Android smartphone, at the moment

The HTC One X is a killer phone. Even though its extra large screen is its small drawback,  To understand most elements of the design influence, you need to look at the phone placed vertically on a flat surface, you will also notice some curve on the top and bottom. The only issue with this phone is that its 8 MP camera bulge out at the back, and when placed flat, the phone rests on the camera. While it is plastic throughout, I believe that it is the unibody design that lends this solidity.

You can see the camera bulging out.

A  1.5 GHz quad core processor powers the HTC one X, and this is the first superphone to be launched in India. Not to forget, it is smartly paired with 1 GB of RAM.

There is 32 GB built-in storage, out of which the user gets about 25 GB. However there is no memory card slot for memory expansion. One another issue is also there with the SIM is that it uses a micro SIM, instead of the standard SIM, instead of the standard SIM that we are using in our phones, mostly.

In the real-world usage scenario, the ONE X feels like any dual cored powered processor smartphone, for the most part. However most apps loads quicker, and games are definitely a smoother experience. But despite having of 1 GB of RAM there is never more than 250 MB. The background processes, and lots of them for that matter, eat up a whole lot of RAM.

The 4.7 inch super IPS LCD2 is definitely among the best I have seen in the smartphones. The color temperature is on a lighter side when compared side by side with an AMOLED display but take the advantage when comes to wider viewing angles and infinitely crisper text. Brightness levels are quite superb as well, and so are the black-level depths.

Cameras on most smartphones are flatter to deceive, but this one is probably the best of the lot. And it can easily stand up to the one in the Iphone 4S. No need to change the modes between the photo and video by toggling the slider. What this does is the reduce one step in the process, and saves on swith over time. Photo quality is much better than expected. The camera isn't over over sensitive to light changes.

The interface is probably the biggest change over the older gen of HTC smartphones and that's because Sense 4.0 seems to have been built from scratch. There is a constant effort to tone down the visual effects puch of the UI., something that allows more focus on the redesigned look of Android ICS.

Battery life is a disappointment, with a quadcore processor under the hood and a 4.7-inch display, the 1800 mAh battery will struggle to survive throughout the day.

This is probably the best Android smartphone you can buy, at least in terms of raw performance. The display is one of the best around, and so is the camera. disappointments are battery life and HTC sense.

So, if you were thinking of buying an Apple Iphone 4s but thinking to try Android this the best device out here.

Now Specs of this smartphone are-

Platform: Android 4.0.3
Processor:1.5 GHz quadcore
Ram:1 GB
Display:4.7-inch super IPS LCD2 (1280X720 pixels)
Storage:32 GB , no memory expansion slot.
Camera: 8 MP
Battery:1800 mAh
Price: Around 38,000 Rs.

Thank You.

Threat Windows Phone users.

Microsoft:No Windows Phone 'Mango','No Marketplace'

Microsoft has issued a warning to users still running older versions of its mobile OS- that's quite rude of Microsoft. So it orders users to upgrade or lose access to the Windows Marketplace.

Windows phone users will have to upgrade to 7.5 (Mango) in order to buy, download or update apps in the marketplace.

So they are forcing the users to upgrade to Mango. I think that due to this behavior there are not much users of their Windows Phone OS.

Hyundai new 120 review

Review of the all new Hyundai i20

We can guess why the first i20 was so popular and successful. When it launched in 2009, it had almost everything a buyer wold dream in a small car- It was stylish, loaded with all the features and extra stuff, and was very spacious . Overall it had all which a premier hatch should have and it was priced very well.

Now lets come on the new i20, Hyundai has loaded more features to the new car. Reverse camera, keyless entry and go, electronic folding mirror, auto climate, auto wipers, six airbags, audio system with bluetooth, usb , AUX connectivity are all standard on Asta (top end model of i20)

No Big and Expensive change is done when comes to the looks of the new car just new head and tail lamps are intalled which are pretty decent now, and when you take a side look there is no noticable change except the chrome door handles and turn signals on mirror which gives the car very Rich look, the bumpers are also more muscular than before, there is a new spoiler at the back to indicate that its the version 2.

The facelift has also increased the length of the car to 3995 mm, so its 55mm upper than before but the height, width and wheel base are not changed.

Now let's take a look at the interiors, well there is no major change in the inside of the car. Same dashboard and the chromed gearbox. Other from these the little changed I observed that the quality of switch and other surfaces has been uprated, the new grey surroundfor the audio, leather wrapped steering wheel and seats have improved the quality.

The new i20 takes 0.5 secs more to reach 0-100 than previous one and the the gearshifts too are slower. On driving the new i20 I realized that there was no real difference in performance . The engine is smoother and quicker than previous one- a fact that's evident all the way from idle to the 6500 rpm redline.

What also reminds us that we are driving the new i20 is the re-tuned suspensions. They are more sophisticated than before but cant say that Hyundai has sort it all you feel problems in changing lanes and when you are going fast on a bump.

So, it must be said that the new i20 works best as the city car- It is easy to drive thanks to its light clutch, easy gearshifts, super light steering wheel, and good engine responses. The loose high speed manners make it a bit handful on highways and emergency situations.

So, in the end this is a typical Hyundai. It may not be the most accomplished dynamically, but will wow you through its looks, features, interiors and ride quality.
